Florida Pearls, Atlanta designer

Atlanta-based Melissa Rovner began designing jewelry when she lived in Florida. She used locally sourced pearls and organza to make the lariat necklaces, which gained such popularity that she launched Nastro Bello ("beautiful ribbon" in Italian) in 2006 with her sister. Rovner's creations, which can be worn as lariat necklaces, chokers, belts and more, retail for $75 to $3,000. You can find the unique designs locally at Elements of Three in Cumming.
